Meeting Ten

Today was our first day of shooting. We met up at Thorndon Park, the location for our performance narrative. We had a walk through the park but due to the weather being dull, windy and having fine rain, our shots from our storyboard had to be altered from an open field with our artist sitting on a haystack to somewhere less windy, sheltered and with better lighting. We had choson to sit our artist on a giant Log with a picturesque background. Behind the star was a lake gently moving in the wind. This turned out to work really well with the movement of the lake and the wind blowing the arists hair around. We took a couple of takes to make sure we had the perfect image. We decided to experiment with our surroundings and perhaps give more to our storyboard. Our next location, still in Thorndon Park, was a long bridge with woodlands arching over it. We experiment with camera movement, hand holding it and also using zoom. We used our star walking along the bridge holding a twig. From this experimentation, we were successful with producing good shots so from this we have concluded that the footage made could potentially be used for gaps that may occur during the editing stage. While we were in this loacation, we took the advantage of taking pictures that could potentially be used for the artist's CD cover. We also decided to do more with our artist singing the lyrics and decided to add another location. We used a fence in an open field, took a couple of takes but had decided to call it a day when the wind got very violent and rain started to fall.

When we uploaded our footage to the editing software we decided that the fence scene was not worthy due to the weather but we believe we have enough footage to use for the specific parts in the video. From here we will experiment with the editing software and film more scenes of our video in the different locations needed.
