1) What do you think you learnt from the Britney planning and filming experiecne? It could be specific things about making a music video or general things about the production process?
From doing Britney Spears filming task, i had learnt about the pros and cons about planning and filming a music video. At a first glance i had thought that the video for Britney was going to be pretty straight forward. We had the right people and location as for we are school students in a school. I had thought we were pretty much sorted. The planning was pretty simple, orgainising who we would use and when and where we would meet up. We didnt have a problem with finding locations, the only problem with planning was when we could all get together without someone having a lesson and whether there was a camera spare we could use.
The filming itself was pretty straight forward and i had learnt that lighting and camera shot is very important if you want your video to look professional rather than amateur. Also i had learnt that planning is crucial and you need to know what your doing, what you need and at what time. This is because our communication within our group was very weak and there for our planning was not clear amongst the group and concluded to people not knowing when and where we were filming and this ended with our video being filmed very last minute and rushed and the camera quality could have been better. So from doing this excericise I had learnt the importance planning and organisation, also I have learnt that I need to learn better skills with video editing as for this is a key part in producing a music video.
2)For you, what was the best bit?
The best bit personally, was the filming simply because acting and performing is a hobbie of mine and something i enojoy and seeing all the filming we had done during the editing was rewarding.
3) How do you think the work we have done will impact on your group project?
It has created a better understanding of what is needed for planning, also what are the likely possible problems we may come across whilst getting into our music video. These would include things such as relying on people to be punctual also it has told me that i need to learn more skills whilst editing videos.
